Bachelor in Law  (LLB 4 Years)

Bachelor in Law (LLB) is four years degree providing quality business education at undergraduate levels. Course work features practices, as well enable students to work effectively in business environment. The Bachelor in Law (LLB) degree is 4 years program, requires 123 semester hours of post secondary college-level study. FACULTY OF ARTS SOCIAL SCIENCE & LAW

Master of Law (LLM)

Department of Law at Southern University offers outstanding bachelor degree program. The Master of Law by coursework will deepen and broaden the student’s legal learning, developing critical evaluation of the law and consideration and analysis of the attitudes and values underlying it. During the course, students will be expected to attain high competence in legal research and writing on areas of conceptual difficulty. LLM is an opportunity to expand the student’s knowledge in law and legal processes.

 

LLM Programs are designed to graduate professionals directed toward employment and practice in related legal field. A maximum of 42 (14 x 3 courses) semester credit hours with a project (6 cr/hrs) is required to achieve the Master degree (LLM) for 2 years law graduates. It will continue for a period of two (2) years for the students who have completed 2 years LL.B Degree depending up on student(s) academic background.

OR

 

The courses of study for the Degree of Master of Law (LL.M) shall extend over for a period of one (1) year for the students who have achieved 4 years LL.B (Honours). A minimum of 24 (8 x 3 courses) semester credit hours with a project (6 cr/hrs)is required to achieve the Master degree(LLM) for 4 years bachelor degree holders, depending up on student(s) academic background .
